At Brandeis, I teach courses in economic anthropology, power and violence, Latin American ethnography, media in Latin America, contemporary theory, the anthropology of food, designing ethnographic research, and the work of Michel-Rolph Trouillot.

In 2010, I was honored to receive the Brandeis University Jeanette Lerman-Neubauer ’69 Prize for Excellence in Teaching and Mentoring. 

In Spring 2018, I taught while floating as part of Semester at Sea.
